Street Names & Numbers: Grid Changes, Renaming & More - German Genealogy Group Inc.

The program this month is “Street Names and Numbers: Grid Changes, Renaming and More” with presenter Thomas MacEntee. Mr MacEntee is a genealogy professional based in the United States. He’ll review the history of street naming and learn how to break down street address data. We’ll go over street grid changes for towns and cities as well as how to track “missing” streets, Learn how to use innovative online tools to visualize a specific street address and cover tops and tricks you need to know when working with street names and addresses.

Orientation for beginners will be held at 7pm, and the regular meeting will start at 7:30pm. Guests and GGG members will have access to the building at 6:30pm.

Among the many benefits of membership are a newsletter published ten times a year, a database of surnames, a book and CD lending library, interesting guest speakers at the meetings, mentoring, a start-up kit of helpful information and much more. We welcome all who are interested in researching their Germanic origins.

There is no fee for guests and all are welcome.
